Conventional Fire Alarm Systems are for smaller buildings and detects fires by dividing a building into “zones,” so they can only indicate a specific zone, not an exact location. In contrast, addressable fire systems assign unique digital names / address to each location, enabling the control panel to pinpoint the exact point of fire, leading to faster response times and more efficient maintenance Addressable systems generally have higher initial costs but offer better fault detection, reduced maintenance, and improved scalability, making them more suitable for larger, commercial or complex buildings
